Young Rabbitoh’s gruesome injury

Young 22 year old Rabbitohs junior Dean Hawkins made his debut for the club last night after he came on for hooker Damien Cook in the 65th minute.

A huge bunch of mates and family were there to cheer him on with one of the greatest signs seen at a game…’FOOTY DEAN’.

But it was after the match that has people talking.

Jumping the fence to greet his mates, ‘Footy Dean’ slipped and cut his knee on the fence.

“I had about 30 of my mates in the grandstand, I’m a Matraville Tiger, they were all wearing those jerseys – I’m a mad ‘Matto boy’ – so I went over to say ‘hi’ and went to jump on them, but I stacked it on the side of the fence,” Hawkins told SMH.com.au

“I’ve ended up getting about 15 stitches. I’m pretty sure the boys didn’t get it on video.”

Looks like ‘Footy Dean’ will have a decent scar to remember his debut
