The Best Announcements Of The 2022 Draw By The Clubs
Ok so this is one of the best things of the draw to be announced. How each team announces it on social media.
Some just go the bland single asset post (yawn) of what their games are which fans could easily access from NRL.com.
While some of the creative teams put their thinking hats on and really try and engage their fans and get them excited for the 2022 season.
Here are the best:
Canberra Raiders
Have been leading the pack with these over the past few years, and again nail it. Sharp and effective, utilising memes to take the piss out of the other teams (as well as themselves).
Parramatta Eels
Kids and kids at heart will enjoy this one. Sticking strictly with Spongebob Squarepants to announce each game. Brilliant.
St George Illawarra Dragons
Ok so very impressed with the amount of time and effort put into this one. On point with every round and very witty.
Pop culture references of Flight of the Conchords, Malcolm in the Middle, Brooklyn 99, My Name is Earl and many more, is entertaining from start to finish.
Ted Lasso for the Wests Tigers was the chefs kiss.
South Sydney Rabbitohs
These exercise videos were a great source of meme material over the last few years, and Souths execute this perfectly, linking it to their key matchups for 2022, as well as some of their best moments from 2021.
Gold Coast Titans
Heading down the Movie Trailer path, the Titans pull off an edge of your seat thriller with this one, with a cool nod to a future rival at the end.
Manly Sea Eagles
Sticking with just promoting their home games for this one, Manly use a short and sharp Disney themed video for this year.
