Reece Walsh reflects on his debut
How good was this kid last night?
Looked like he had been playing for a few years, not making his debut.
I guess it helps that he had one of the greatest fullbacks of a generation guiding him.
“I’ve learnt so much from him in this 2 weeks, more than this whole year” Walsh told Fox Sports after the game
“He’s a big influence on myself and on the players around him”
It was an emotional day for the rookie with a large family presence in attendance including his 4 week old daughter.
He also received a Haka from the fans after the game which brought him and his family to tears.
“I can see how proud they are of me, and I just hope I did them proud tonight”
